Call for Application: 50MAWSP NIGERIA Fellows Program 2020 Application is open.
The 50 Million African Women Speak Platform (50MAWSP) is a Project by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in partnership with the 3 AFRICA BLOCS: ECOWAS, COMESA and EAC. The primary objective of 50 Million African Women Speak Platform Project is to create a digital platform that will be accessible to women within the thirty-eight Member States present on the platforms comprising COMESA, EAC and ECOWAS that will facilitate the economic empowerment of women entrepreneurs by providing access to vital financial and non-financial benefits and information necessary for growing and developing businesses. This social network is designed to help women to learn from each other, inspire each other and draw from the most comprehensive resource bank for information on various aspects of doing business. It will also facilitate access to training, business management tools and financing options specifically targeted to women. The expected outcome is to directly impact 50 million African women and create fair waged jobs for young people from the increased business activities and capital flow.
Objectives
The objective of the 50MAWS platform is to contribute to the economic empowerment of women by providing a networking platform that will enable women in business to access information and financial services. Specifically, the platform aims to improve the ability of women entrepreneurs to network and share information as well as to access information on financial and non-financial services.
Purpose
As a strategy to create awareness and empower more women, we are recruiting social media champions to raise awareness about the project, engage their followers and assist transit them to the 50MAWSP app through a series of posts and updates.
We seek a diverse group of women advocates with 1000+ followers on Social Media Channels who are excited about creating awareness on empowerment opportunities for women to work with us for the next five months.
