As a bride in my husband’s church, I was once saddled with the responsibility of going to the market to get one of the married women a gift on behalf of all the other women in the church because she had just given birth.
What perfect gift can be given to a woman who just gave birth that will be well appreciated? Detergent, clothes, set of combs, towels, wrappers, car seat, baby carrier or even diapers? I considered a diaper as the best option, and off I went to the market in search of a diaper.
Due to a particular name we call all diapers while growing up, I couldn’t have thought that there would be different makers of a diaper in the market. I knew the word “pampers” as a general name but I never knew that pampers was just a particular brand of diaper. In short, I got what I wanted and presented it to the woman. As of today, there are over twenty brands of diapers in the market. While some are at the forefront of the demand chain, some are struggling to come up to the surface. However, the focus of this article is not to tell which brand is the best or which brand is not the best. Although the use of disposable diapers is hygienically and comfortably advisable, many still crave the use of cloth diapers.
