- Harry Potter Kano Coding Kit
This is an app that allows you construct spells with logic-based pieces by waving a plastic wand in the air. The plastic wand is connected to your laptop, or tablet through Bluetooth. It contains a gyroscope, accelerometer and magnetometer that helps to track the movement of the wand in 3D space. The tip of the wand shows like a cursor on the app, to perform a spell, you need to code it. This is a form of app that teaches kids how to code. The lessons on this kit is broken down into different tasks, that show on the app as small orange circles. The tasks are revolved around a puzzle piece library, workspace, and live preview pane. It doesn’t use the internet, but it uses a long-range, low-power frequencies to connect to other devices and GPS. With LynQ, you can have a private closed network dedicated to your group alone. 12 devices can be linked together, with each device having a name of its own. To find a person, all you have to do is cycle through the screen showing their LynQ name and the screen will display where the person is and how far out he or she is from you. This device works within a radius of 3 miles, and there’s also a notification you can set that will tell you when someone is out of reach.
