Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer David Adedeji Adeleke, best known by his stage name Davido, is from that country. Davido was born in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America (USA) on November 21, 1992, although spending his formative years in Lagos, Nigeria. Davido attended the British International School in Lagos while residing in Nigeria. At age 16, he returned to the country to attend Oakwood University in Alabama to study business administration. David began his musical career while he was in Oakwood. He acquired musical instruments and started producing beats. He teamed up with his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo and formed the music act KB International. Later, David left Oakwood University to devote himself entirely to music. He relocated to London and worked on his vocals there. In 2011, he went back to Nigeria, put a halt to his musical endeavors, and decided to enroll at Babcock University in memory of his father. He received a music degree from Babcock in July 2015 after his father sponsored the school to establish a music department for a single-student inaugural class.
Adedeji Adeleke, a millionaire and accomplished businessman from Nigeria, is Davido’s father. He is the CEO of Pacific Holdings Limited and the president of Adeleke University. Vero Adeleke was his late mother. She taught at a university. On March 6, 2003, she passed away. Davido is the second son and youngest of his parents’ five children. Davido’s father funded to build a music department at Babcock University for an inaugural class of one so that he would receive a degree after leaving Oakwood University to pursue a career in music. David took a break from music to complete his education and respect his father’s desires.
Davido is the second son of his parents and the youngest of four children. Adewale Adeleke, Sharon Adeleke, and Ashley Coco are his siblings. All of Davido’s siblings are in executive roles at Pacific Holdings, their father’s business.

Imade Adeleke, Hailey Veronica Adeleke, and David Adeleke Jr. are some of his kids. The second son he had with a woman in the UK is said to be his fourth kid. Social media was filled on October 31, 2022, with reports of the passing of Davido’s son, David Adeleke Jr., also known as Ifeanyi. He had a son together with his fiancée, Chioma Rowland. The three-year-old was found dead in the family pool at the musician’s opulent Banana Island home in Lagos, Nigeria, according to reports. Police questioned eight members of the singer’s staff, including the nanny and housekeeper. One had initially gone to report the drowning, according to accounts. Six of the eight were allowed to depart after being questioned by police, while two of the eight were held.
The public perception of Davido and his fiancée Chioma Avril Rowland’s relationship was tough at first, but they are now together. The couple reportedly knew one another for a while before making their romance public in 2017. Chioma was enrolled in the University when their relationship began. In some of David’s music videos, including the well-liked “Assurance,” Chioma was a prominent character. Several of his singles were also inspired by her. David proposed to her after they had been dating for some time. The couple also welcomed Ifeanyi, their child. After becoming engaged, the couple disbanded in the middle of 2020. Their divorce’s specifics were kept private. At their son’s birthday party in October 2021, they were seen once more. According to reports, they were resuming their engagement. They experienced the heartache of losing their kid after his third birthday in late October after he drowned in their family pool.
