5 Ways To Leverage On Technology For Business Growth

Technology has been a very crucial part of life and daily activities. And of course, directly or indirectly we are always involved with the use of technology. The truth is if you don’t integrate technology into whatever you are doing, you would soon be on the way out of business.

Everything runs on the wings of technology these days and trust me your business isn’t an exception. Don’t waste your time trying to invent something new, rather look for what technologies are working and key into the process they present to have commanding results.

“Join the wagon of technology or”, as Bob Dylan said in The Times, they are a-Changing, “start sinking like a stone.” I am not here to make you feel bad, I know that many would like to leverage on technology for their business growth. But they don’t know how to do it. The main purpose of why this article was written is to show you how you can leverage technology to grow your business and increases your revenue.

However, before you can leverage technology to increase your brand awareness and generate sales, you need to answer the questions listed below.

  1. Why do I want my business on digital platforms?
  2. Which medium do I want to leverage my business on? Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and so on.
  3. What message do I want to pass across or what do I want to sell?
  4. How would I connect with my target audience?

For effective digital media campaign, your goal must be similar to either, some, or all of the following:

  1. To gain more visibility
  2. Create a strong social media presence

III. Develop the Know Like and Trust Principle

  1. Build a loyal fan base
  2. Generate Sales

You are not on the digital media to play, everything you do is geared towards a goal; you want to get more customers and increase sales. Now, let’s get deeper into this conversation.

  1. Socialize to Build Awareness.

Join groups, add friends, follow people, comment on people’s post. It is called digital or social media for a certain reason. Never the social out of the media for any reason. Relate with people, conversation comes before conversion. Without a doubt, you are on social media to sell but it won’t happen if you don’t relate with people

If you are selling for on Facebook create communities and join groups that contain your target audience. I.e. people who are interested in what you are selling. There are countless tools you can use like Hootsuite, Hubspot and Pinterest that you can leverage on to develop a strong social media presence.

2. Automate Your Business.

Your customers expect you to be online 24/7, of course, you can’t but you have to put in systems that would ensure that your clients are attended to when you are not online.

Leverage on technological innovations like chatbots and auto-responders to activate around-the-clock availability. Your customers expect it, so put it in place.

It won’t be bad if you looked into digital invoicing since you will be carrying out your transactions online. Managing finances in a company have never been an easy thing, technology has given us some apps to solve that need.

Lunch out your brand, advertise yourself through whatever medium you have chosen, be consistent and courageous.

  1. Collaboration would help your business more

If it had been a decade earlier, we would have said something like ‘drive your competition out of the market. In the digital age, the reverse is the case, study your competition and on some occasion, welcome a healthy partnership.

Also, collaborate with your customers, they are part also part of your business. Ask for reviews, welcome feedbacks. Let them feel like they are part of the business, which they are, you won’t be in business without them. Be there on their special day e.g., you can send shout outs or customized mail on their birthday. Get them informed about your new stuff, update them about the service you render. Creating a group to offer free class is also an advantage.

  1. Customer Experience

In the world we are today, customer’s service has lost its effectiveness. Things have changed, we have moved to customer experience. This means how your customer feels after they have interacted with your products or services.

On the Deal with every issue about your business or service on your business account.  Always make your client or customer comfortable. Listen to their complaints, it would be cool if you have certain times of the year that your clients can pour out their hearts to you without reservations.

5 Ways To Leverage On Technology For Business Growth

  1. Leads and Sales generation.

You can sell online if you don’t know how to attract eyeballs. Knowing how to generate traffic and then later convert them to buying customers is essential to the growth of your business. If you don’t under what sales funnel means to get someone who does; it is very important in your online transactions.

There 2 major ways to generate traffic in the digital space; organic growth and sponsored ads. You are in business, organic growth takes a whole tone of time to give results. It takes money to build something formidable.

Put the money down. Invest like Brain Tracy said, “Get them to come to you first, them get them to come again, now get them to bring their friends.” And how will you get them to come if you do not pay to reach them through ads? These social media platforms already have data from people on their platform. You just need to pay them to reach the audience with the demographics your business needs.
